Unless you live in a round home we all have areas where two walls meet. This is typically wasted space since there isn't very much in the design world that will accommodate this area. That is why a corner book shelf is a great way to utilize it and still be attractive to the room.

Oak and pine are typically found in casual settings and the more expensive and sometimes harder to locate varieties such as maple, teak and bamboo will be seen in more spectacular settings.
No matter which variety of corner book shelf you go with it will still serve the same purpose. And that is taking a space that would otherwise be of little or no use and transforming it into a viable section of a room.
